FAYETTEVILLE, AR – May 20, 2019 — Supergiant (supergiant.io), a Kubernetes support and training provider, just announced from KubeCon+CloudNativeCon Europe the official launch of Supergiant University, a series of remote and on-site Kubernetes training courses tailored to specific stages of the Kubernetes adoption process.
Supergiant University consists of two foundational, three intermediate, and five advanced training tracks designed for various Kubernetes expertise levels. New tracks will be added this summer.
Subsequent tracks build upon previous tracks to create a natural progression of Kubernetes learning, beginning with basic concepts to daily operation management, on up to the most advanced levels of designing clusters and troubleshooting issues. Participants in the advanced training tracks have an opportunity to master advanced cluster security, service meshes, federation, Kubernetes networking, cluster autoscaling, extending Kubernetes, and more.
In addition to foundational, intermediate, and advanced tracks, Supergiant University includes the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) bootcamps designed to assess the Kubernetes skills of the participants. The bootcamps simulate multiple portions of the relevant exam and allow participants to see what taking the exam will be like.
“More companies than ever before are starting their container journey with Kubernetes, but they lack the resources to fully realize the benefits,” said Mark Brandon, CEO of Qbox, Inc., home of Supergiant. “We’re launching Supergiant University to help enterprise companies accelerate their Kubernetes adoption, avoid costly beginner mistakes and potentially save the company thousands in cloud bills.”
As a CNCF Kubernetes Training Partner (KTP), Supergiant is one of only a few vetted providers with deep experience in cloud native technology training. The Supergiant team boasts one of the highest concentrations of Certified Kubernetes Administrators (CKAs) in the world.
“The goal of the Supergiant University is to provide people with true expertise, not just knowledge or experience, by building a complete understanding of Kubernetes and the ‘what,’ ‘why,’ and ‘how’ of each individual aspect of it,” said Clarke Vennerbeck (CKA, CKAD), the principal author of the Supergiant University. “Each track is connected closely to the previous one, making them a cohesive and fulfilling set of experiences rather than an information dump.”
